The "Registry"....

So we ventured out Sunday to start registering at a few places. We didn't really have a plan, but I wanted to check out the registry options at Bloomingdales, Macy's, and Crate and Barrel.

We started at Bloomingdale's and I really enjoyed the customer service there, plus they give you a bunch of great coupons and discounts to use in the next few months. The guy working was really funny and immediately handed the scanner "gun" to J. He said that's the guy's favorite part. Unfortunately while walking around I found their selection a bit limited. We found a few things we loved. Of course they were expensive, but that wasn't the point - it was our 'wish' list :)

Next we ventured over to Macy's - it was packed with tons of engaged couples spending their Sunday doing the same thing. Multiple couples were walking around with the little scanner "gun", making annoying beeping noises at pots, pans, mixers, etc. We signed up and were handed a gun as well and we went around and scanned just about everything it seems! The funny thing is, I don't feel like we need very much of anything. I suppose the first time out you just scan everything you like, knowing you can go online and change it later.

We ran out of time to make it to Crate and Barrel, so I will save that for a future Sunday! We didn't find a very good selection of Espresso machines at either store (the only thing he wants to register for!) so I'm hoping they have a few there. Otherwise we will probably check out Williams & Sonoma.

Once we got home I of course went and signed us up for Amazon.com's registry. That will probably end up being our favorite one - the possibilities are endless!

Here's a few of the crazy things on our "wish list" so far:

Nambe wine chiller

Kate Spade Belle Boulevard Crystal

Nambe Butterfly Baking Dishes

Dyson Animal Ball Vacuum
